We are totally kid and dog friendly, and we'd love to meet you and your friends and family. Take a few minutes to come and browse, meet all the artists, check out our paintings, get to know the artists, and cool off - we've got AC ;-) Time and again we hear "it's so interesting to be able to have the full experience - meeting the artist who creates the art we're looking at. There's no other place like this, ANYWHERE!" Depot Street also has two restaurants and a coffee shop, plus plenty of parking at either end, and street parking in-between. There's so much to see at NorthLight Studios - a little something for everyone. We hope to see you!
“It’s an interesting space, and was a thoughtful exercise to curate this exhibition,” says Wendy Whitson, artist/owner of NorthLight Studios. “The office for Premier Sotheby’s International Realty is set up much like a gallery, and the lighting is excellent. There are also furnishings, which help provide an ambiance of being in a home. Each artist has a distinct style, and this show proves that an eclectic collection of paintings truly can hang together very well.”
The open house will take place in Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s Biltmore Village location at 10 Brook St., Suite 130. Six artists, all painters, will be in attendance: Angela Alexander, Bill George, Bernadette St. Pierre-George, Nan Davis, Sandy Lear and Wendy Whitson. Be gone cold winter! At NorthLight Studios we are celebrating April - a month of warm showers, Carolina blue skies and Spring Flowers. Our studios are full of color. Come see us Saturday, April 13th and view our interpretations of rainy days and flowers. We're giving our visitors a packet of non-GMO sunflower seeds. Take home some sunshine, and perhaps a painting to brighten your home.
February 9th - All Artists in the Studio for Second Saturday!Please join us, and shop local for the Sweetheart in your life. There are a lot of gift ideas in each artist's studio. Choose from note cards, framed prints, unframed prints and of course, original paintings.

NLS artists will be in their studios: Angela Alexander, Cheryl Keefer, Bernadette St. Pierre-George, John Faulkner and Wendy Whitson. Special guest artist & meteorologist Pamela Wright of Weathervain Jewelry will be on hand for the day. Her collection of unique, weather-themed jewelry designs are inspired by the elements. We'd love to share our inspiration with you!
An Appalachian Summer at NorthLight StudiosSaturday, July 14th, from 11-5, come experience the best Summertime has to offer, rolled into one day! Enjoy Blue Grass music from 1-4, lemonade & popcorn, and fresh new paintings inspired by our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
The band will set up in our studio garden, and there will be plenty of seating, so you can enjoy the music for awhile. Demonstrations will be taking place throughout the day by various artists, and in particular, Bill George will be working on a fiddle player.

Hotel Indigo 2-Woman Exhibit
Hotel Indigo is the location for a new two-woman installation by Cindy Walton and Wendy Whitson. Both artists create very different work, but their paintings work very well together. Please drop by and wander through the lobby, restaurant and bar, where their paintings fill the space with good energy and beautiful vistas. Exhibition runs through May 2019.
